Ms. Link and Mrs. Yeager’s classes recently visited the Mid-Ohio Food Collective in Grove City. They toured the facility and learned about food handling, warehousing, and logistics.
Students also participated in a poverty simulation, where they were presented with real-life situations that reduced their income, requiring them to make adjustments to meet their needs.
Inspired to make a difference? Consider volunteering at your local food bank or supporting organizations like the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. For more information, please visit https://mofc.org/.

Mrs. Blum’s 6th-grade ELA students and Mrs. Yeager’s High School Food Science class recently teamed up for a unique learning experience!
After exploring traditional English foods, Mrs. Yeager’s students put their baking skills to the test, creating a tea party with a delicious spread of scones and cucumber sandwiches. Meanwhile, Mrs. Blum’s students have been sharpening their conversational discussion skills.
The two classes came together to enjoy great food and even better conversations—practicing communication in a real-world setting while sharing their delicious creations. A perfect blend of learning and collaboration!
